- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Dijon mustard (15 milliliters)
- 2 slices of beef bacon
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) panko breadcrumbs (30 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil (14 grams)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
- Place the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Toss the Brussels sprouts to coat them evenly.
- Spread them out in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until tender and golden.
- Meanwhile, cook the bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until crispy.
- Remove the bacon from the skillet and let it cool on a paper towel.
- Crumble the cooled bacon into small pieces.
- In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Add 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs to the skillet.
- Stir continuously until the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
- Remove from heat and mix in the crumbled bacon.
- In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of maple syrup and 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard.
- Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, transfer them to a large bowl.
- Pour the maple Dijon sauce over the Brussels sprouts.
- Toss to coat the Brussels sprouts evenly.
- Transfer the Brussels sprouts to a serving dish.
- Sprinkle the bacon breadcrumbs over the top.
- Serve immediately.
