Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets, 4 pieces (about 680 g)
  • Maple syrup, 1/4 cup (60 ml)
  • Dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons (30 g)
  • Soy sauce, 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
  • Lemon juice, 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
  • Garlic, 4 cloves, minced
  • Butter, 4 tablespoons (56 g)
  • Fresh thyme, 1 tablespoon, chopped (15 g)
  • Green beans, 1 pound (450 g)
  • Olive oil, 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and lemon juice.
  3. Season salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  4. Place salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Brush the maple Dijon mixture generously over the salmon fillets.
  6. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until fully cooked.
  7. While the salmon is baking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  8. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  9. Add green beans to the skillet and toss to coat with garlic.
  10. Season green beans with salt and black pepper to taste.
  11. Cook the green beans for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp, stirring occasionally.
  12. In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
  13. Stir in the chopped fresh thyme into the melted butter.
  14. Once the salmon is cooked, remove from the oven.
  15. Drizzle the thyme butter over the baked salmon fillets.
  16. Serve the maple Dijon salmon with garlic green beans on the side.
