- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: additional ketchup for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a loaf pan.
- If desired, spread a thin layer of ketchup on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Optional: Sauté onions before adding for a sweeter flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
