A simple yet elegant roast beef tenderloin recipe that showcases rich flavors and a buttery texture, perfect for special occasions and everyday dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 beef tenderloin (about 23 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rub the beef tenderloin with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic, rosemary, and thyme.
  3. Place the seasoned beef in a roasting pan.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
  5. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  6. In the meantime, deglaze the roasting pan with beef broth and stir in butter until melted.
  7. Serve the sliced beef drizzled with the sauce.

Notes

For best results, allow the beef tenderloin to come to room temperature before cooking. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
