- 1 beef tenderloin (about 2–3 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rub the beef tenderloin with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic, rosemary, and thyme.
- Place the seasoned beef in a roasting pan.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- In the meantime, deglaze the roasting pan with beef broth and stir in butter until melted.
- Serve the sliced beef drizzled with the sauce.
Notes
For best results, allow the beef tenderloin to come to room temperature before cooking. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
