A quick and flavorful side dish featuring fresh green beans roasted with garlic and parmesan for a satisfying crunch.
Ingredients

- 1 pound green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 large cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- Juice from 1/2 a lemon
- 1–2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the green beans on the baking sheet. Toss them in olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the green beans in an even layer on the baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the grated parmesan over the green beans, covering them evenly.
- Transfer the baking sheet to the oven for about 20 minutes or until the beans are lightly browned and crisp-tender.
- Remove from the oven and top with freshly squeezed lemon juice and parsley. Season with extra salt and pepper, if needed.
- Serve hot!
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding red pepper flakes or nuts. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
