Description

A delightful fusion of cheeseburger flavors and comforting lasagna, layered with seasoned ground beef, béchamel sauce, and a mix of cheeses.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup crispy cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add the diced onion and sauté until soft, about 4–5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  2. Add the marinara sauce, crumbled bacon, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for 10 minutes before setting it aside.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1–2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the whole milk and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and garlic powder, seasoning with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a 9×13” baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, top it with a layer of lasagna noodles, then add a layer of béchamel, followed by mozzarella and cheddar. Repeat these layers, finishing with cheese on top, and sprinkle additional grated Parmesan as a finishing touch.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking uncovered for another 15 minutes, until it becomes bubbly and golden. Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing for serving.

Notes

Allow the lasagna to rest after baking for better layers. Consider using oven-ready noodles for quicker preparation.
