Description
A delightful twist on traditional pecan pie, this pecan pie cobbler features a gooey, buttery base and crunchy pecans for a comforting dessert experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish, making sure it covers the entire bottom evenly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk these dry ingredients together until well incorporated.
- Carefully pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir! Let the batter settle naturally over the butter.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly across the surface, then distribute brown sugar uniformly over the pecans.
- Slowly and carefully pour hot water over the entire surface without stirring.
- Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes until you see a golden-brown top with a bubbly texture.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let the cobbler rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
<liGradually add milk and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir just until the batter comes together; be careful not to overmix for a slightly lumpy consistency.
Notes
