Description

A delightful twist on traditional pecan pie, this pecan pie cobbler features a gooey, buttery base and crunchy pecans for a comforting dessert experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish, making sure it covers the entire bottom evenly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk these dry ingredients together until well incorporated.
  4. <liGradually add milk and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir just until the batter comes together; be careful not to overmix for a slightly lumpy consistency.

  5. Carefully pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir! Let the batter settle naturally over the butter.
  6. Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly across the surface, then distribute brown sugar uniformly over the pecans.
  7. Slowly and carefully pour hot water over the entire surface without stirring.
  8. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes until you see a golden-brown top with a bubbly texture.
  9. Once baked, remove from the oven and let the cobbler rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an indulgent treat. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to five days.
