Description

A comforting pepper steak prepared effortlessly in a Crock Pot with tender beef, colorful bell peppers, and savory sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 bell peppers (any color), sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. In a Crock Pot, combine beef strips, bell peppers, onion, and garlic.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and salt. Pour this mixture over the beef and vegetables in the Crock Pot.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender.
  4. If you would like to thicken the sauce, mix corn starch with a little water and stir into the mixture about 30 minutes before serving.
  5. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider searing the beef strips before adding them to the Crock Pot. Adjust seasoning to taste, and feel free to add more vegetables if desired.
