- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: hot sauce or pepperoncini for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced steak and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Lower the heat and sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese over the steak and vegetables. Cover the skillet and let it cook until the cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot with optional hot sauce or pepperoncini on the side.
Notes
Feel free to customize with leftover veggies or different cheeses. For spice, consider adding jalapeños or hot sauce during cooking.
