Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Avoid opening the oven door while baking to prevent collapse. Check for doneness with a toothpick, which should come out with a few moist crumbs.
