Description
A refreshing summertime beverage made from brewed black tea and sweetened to perfection.
Ingredients

- 12 black tea bags (orange pekoe black tea)
- 24 cups of water (divided)
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
Instructions
- Begin by boiling 12 cups of water in a large pot.
- Once boiling, remove it from the heat and add the 12 black tea bags.
- Allow the tea to steep for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your preference for strength.
- While the tea is steeping, take another 12 cups of water and prepare it in a pitcher.
- After the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and stir in the granulated sugar until completely dissolved.
- Pour the hot tea mixture over the cold water in the pitcher, mixing thoroughly.
- Chill the iced tea in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
Notes
Add fresh herbs or citrus to enhance the flavor. Store leftover tea in the refrigerator, best consumed within a week.
