Ingredients

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Fold in the Rice Krispies and chocolate chips.
- Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For chewier cookies, refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes before baking. Keep an eye on baking time as it may vary for different ovens.
