- 8 ounces (227 g) salmon fillet (225 grams)
- 4 ounces (113 g) cream cheese (115 grams)
- 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard (15 ml)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped fresh parsley (4 grams)
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water (15 ml)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- – Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- – Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- – Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to maintain its size.
- – Place the salmon fillet in the center of the puff pastry.
- – Season the salmon with salt and black pepper.
- – Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the salmon.
- – Crumble Boursin cheese over the salmon.
- – Sprinkle chopped fresh dill over the cheese.
- – Cut diagonal slits along the long sides of the pastry, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart.
- – Fold the top and bottom ends of the pastry over the salmon.
- – Starting at one end, fold the strips over the salmon, alternating sides to create a braid.
- – Beat the egg with water in a small bowl to make an egg wash.
- – Brush the egg wash over the pastry braid.
- – Transfer the pastry braid to the prepared baking sheet.
