  • 4 ounces (113 g) cream cheese (115 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard (15 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped fresh parsley (4 grams)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water (15 ml)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. – Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. – Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. – Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to maintain its size.
  4. – Place the salmon fillet in the center of the puff pastry.
  5. – Season the salmon with salt and black pepper.
  6. – Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the salmon.
  7. – Crumble Boursin cheese over the salmon.
  8. – Sprinkle chopped fresh dill over the cheese.
  9. – Cut diagonal slits along the long sides of the pastry, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart.
  10. – Fold the top and bottom ends of the pastry over the salmon.
  11. – Starting at one end, fold the strips over the salmon, alternating sides to create a braid.
  12. – Beat the egg with water in a small bowl to make an egg wash.
  13. – Brush the egg wash over the pastry braid.
  14. – Transfer the pastry braid to the prepared baking sheet.
