- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce (15 milliliters)
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetarian oyster sauce (30 milliliters)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cornstarch (8 grams)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) beef broth (60 milliliters)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame oil (15 milliliters)
- 1 pound (454 g) bok choy, chopped (450 grams)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) green onions, chopped (15 grams)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the beef slices with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef slices to the pan and stir-fry until browned, about 4-5 minutes.
- Remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.
- In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger, and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add sliced red bell pepper to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add chopped bok choy and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Return the beef to the pan and mix with the vegetables.
- In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, beef broth, and sesame oil.
- Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables in the pan.
- Stir well to coat all the ingredients evenly with the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Sprinkle chopped green onions over the stir fry.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve the stir fry hot.
