  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce (15 milliliters)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetarian oyster sauce (30 milliliters)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cornstarch (8 grams)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) beef broth (60 milliliters)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame oil (15 milliliters)
  • 1 pound (454 g) bok choy, chopped (450 grams)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) green onions, chopped (15 grams)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the beef slices with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the beef slices to the pan and stir-fry until browned, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.
  5. In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  6. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Add sliced red bell pepper to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Add chopped bok choy and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  9. Return the beef to the pan and mix with the vegetables.
  10. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, beef broth, and sesame oil.
  11. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables in the pan.
  12. Stir well to coat all the ingredients evenly with the sauce.
  13. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  14. Sprinkle chopped green onions over the stir fry.
  15. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste.
  16. Serve the stir fry hot.
