A warm, comforting dish made with layers of savory ground beef or lamb, vibrant vegetables, and creamy mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef or lamb
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef or lamb, cooking until it is browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in the diced carrots, peas, tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes.
