- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened.
- Add the ground beef or lamb, cooking until it is browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the diced carrots, peas, tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes.
- In a baking dish, layer the meat mixture evenly. Top it with the mashed potatoes, spreading them evenly over the meat.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
