Description
Tender and flavorful BBQ country style ribs cooked to perfection in a slow cooker, evoking warmth and cherished moments.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 lb. country style ribs (butt/shoulder, not loin)
- 1 ½ c BBQ sauce
- 2 tsp ground mustard
- 2 tsp paprika
- ¼ – ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 – 3 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ tsp cracked pepper
- ½ tsp sea salt (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- Place the country style ribs inside a slow cooker.
- Add ground mustard, paprika, cayenne pepper, sea salt, cracked pepper, and minced garlic. Toss the ribs to evenly coat them.
- Gently press the seasoning into the meat, ensuring every piece is well-coated.
- Pour the BBQ sauce over the ribs, ensuring they are covered entirely.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours until the meat easily falls apart with a fork, or on high for 4-6 hours.
- Transfer the ribs to a serving dish and drizzle extra BBQ sauce from the pot over the top.
- Optional: Broil for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is bubbling.
- Allow the ribs to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a sweeter flavor, consider adding brown sugar or experimenting with smoked paprika. Let the ribs rest before serving to maintain moisture.
