Description

A comforting slow-cooked dish featuring tender chicken breasts smothered in creamy gravy, perfect for family meals.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet of ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Mix together the cream of chicken soup, ranch dressing mix, chicken broth, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
  3. If using, place butter on top of the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes (6 hours) or on high for 240 minutes (4 hours), until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  5. Shred the chicken in the gravy and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits.

Notes

For a thicker gravy, mix a spoonful of cornstarch with equal parts water and add during the last 20 minutes of cooking.
