- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, then drain excess fat.
- Place the ground beef, onion, garlic, and bell pepper into the slow cooker.
- Add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, pepper, and beef broth.
- Stir to combine ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes or high for 240 minutes.
- Serve hot, and enjoy your homemade chili!

Adjust chili powder to taste for heat and let chili rest overnight for deeper flavors.
