- 2 lbs sirloin beef, cut into chunks
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Mix together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, ginger, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Place the beef chunks in the slow cooker and pour the honey garlic sauce over them.
- Stir to coat the beef evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until beef is tender.
- Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl during the last 30 minutes of cooking, then stir it into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
- Serve the beef over rice or noodles, garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
Trim excess fat from the beef for best results. Feel free to add vegetables like carrots or bell peppers for added flavor and nutrition.
