Description

Delightful buttery cookies with rich pecan flavor, perfect for holidays or any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually blend in the flour, chopped pecans, and salt until the dough comes together.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the bottoms are lightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before rolling in additional powdered sugar.
  8. Allow to cool completely and dust with more powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Consider adding cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor. Double dusting with powdered sugar enhances sweetness.
