- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) ground allspice
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped fresh parsley (15 grams)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped fresh mint (15 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil (15 milliliters)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) tahini paste (120 grams)
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) lemon juice (30 milliliters)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) water (60 milliliters)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic.
- Add ground cumin, coriander, cinnamon, allspice, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.
- Add the chopped parsley and mint to the beef mixture.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape each into a sausage-like kofta.
- Brush each kofta lightly with olive oil.
- Place the koftas on the preheated grill.
- Cook the koftas for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked through.
- In a separate bowl, combine the tahini paste and lemon juice.
- Gradually add water to the tahini mixture, stirring until smooth.
- Season the tahini sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Remove the cooked koftas from the grill.
- Arrange the koftas on a serving platter.
- Drizzle the prepared tahini sauce over the koftas.
- Serve immediately.
