  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped fresh parsley (15 grams)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped fresh mint (15 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil (15 milliliters)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) tahini paste (120 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) lemon juice (30 milliliters)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) water (60 milliliters)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic.
  3. Add ground cumin, coriander, cinnamon, allspice, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.
  4. Add the chopped parsley and mint to the beef mixture.
  5. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  6. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape each into a sausage-like kofta.
  7. Brush each kofta lightly with olive oil.
  8. Place the koftas on the preheated grill.
  9. Cook the koftas for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked through.
  10. In a separate bowl, combine the tahini paste and lemon juice.
  11. Gradually add water to the tahini mixture, stirring until smooth.
  12. Season the tahini sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
  13. Remove the cooked koftas from the grill.
  14. Arrange the koftas on a serving platter.
  15. Drizzle the prepared tahini sauce over the koftas.
  16. Serve immediately.
