A vibrant and flavorful seafood boil infused with smoky Cajun spices, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds shrimp, deveined and shells on
  • 1 pound blue crab, cleaned
  • 1 pound mussels, cleaned
  • 1 pound potatoes, halved
  • 1 corn on the cob, cut into pieces
  • 8 cups water
  • 1/4 cup Cajun seasoning
  • 2 lemons, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring eight cups of water to a boil in a large pot.
  2. Add Cajun seasoning, minced garlic, and salt to the boiling water.
  3. Add the halved potatoes and pieces of corn, cooking for about 10-15 minutes until the potatoes become tender.
  4. Once the potatoes soften, add the blue crab and mussels. Cook for an additional five minutes, allowing the mussels to open fully.
  5. Finally, introduce the shrimp, cooking for just another 3-5 minutes until the shrimp turns bright pink.
  6. When cooked, drain the water and transfer the seafood and vegetables to a serving platter.
  7. Garnish the gorgeous dish with lemon quarters and a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a beautiful presentation.

Notes

Serve with crusty bread to soak up the flavorful broth, and don’t forget the napkins!
