- 1 pound (454 g) venison, thinly sliced (450 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil (15 milliliters)
- 1 cup (240 ml) pineapple chunks (150 grams)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce (15 milliliters)
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s sweet chili sauce (30 milliliters)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) ginger, grated (5 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cornstarch (8 grams)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) water (60 milliliters)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) red pepper flakes (2 grams)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 2 cup (480 ml) s cooked rice, for serving (400 grams)
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced venison to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper.
- Stir-fry the venison for 3-4 minutes until browned and just cooked through.
- Remove the venison from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper.
- Stir-fry the vegetables for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet.
- Stir-fry for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the pineapple chunks to the skillet and stir to combine.
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, cornstarch, and water.
- Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and stir well.
- Return the venison to the skillet and mix with the other ingredients.
- Sprinkle the red pepper flakes over the stir-fry and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper.
- Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients.
- Serve the spicy pineapple venison stir-fry over cooked rice.
