Ingredients

- 120g cream cheese, room temperature
- 30g icing sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 strawberries, thinly sliced
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 small egg
- 1 tsp water
- Sugar (for sprinkling)
- 40g icing sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, icing sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into squares.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each square, then top with sliced strawberries.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and seal the edges.
- Beat the egg with water and brush the mixture over the pastries.
- Sprinkle with sugar for extra sweetness.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- For the glaze, mix the icing sugar with milk until smooth, and drizzle over the warm pastries before serving.
Notes
Chill the assembled pastries before baking for better results. You can substitute strawberries with other fruits for variations.
