Ingredients

  • 1 pound strawberries (1 box)
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
  • ½ to ¾ cup milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 tbsp Earl Grey tea leaves (or 2 tea bags)
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

  1. Chop your strawberries into half-inch pieces. Add them to a sealable container or jar.
  2. Sprinkle in the white sugar, mixing well to combine.
  3. Let the syrup sit for at least an hour until the juices extract into the jar.
  4. For the Earl Grey tea, add the tea leaves or tea bags to a teapot or mug and pour in hot water.
  5. Brew for 3-5 minutes or until the taste is strong. Remove tea leaves or bags, and allow the tea to cool.
  6. In a glass, add ice, followed by the strawberry syrup and cooled Earl Grey tea.
  7. Top with milk, stir gently, and enjoy!

Notes

Adjust the sugar based on the sweetness of your strawberries. Experiment with different types of milk for added flavor.
