- 12 large mushroom caps
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh thyme, chopped
- 1/2 cup cream cheese or Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove the stems from the mushroom caps and finely chop them.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped mushroom stems and garlic until softened.
- In a bowl, combine the sautéed mushrooms, breadcrumbs, herbs, cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the mushroom caps with the mixture and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or until the tops are golden and crispy.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Experiment with different herbs and cheese types for varied flavor profiles. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven for best results.
