Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups beef broth

  2. Form the mixture into small meatballs.
  3. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.

Notes

Use freshly grated nutmeg for more intense flavor. Pair with lingonberry preserves for a sweet contrast.
