- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag of tater tots
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, adding salt and pepper to taste.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the ground beef mixture evenly.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Arrange tater tots on top of the cheese, covering it completely.
- Bake for about 30 minutes, until tater tots turn golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, consider using garlic powder or Italian herbs. Allow the casserole to rest for a few minutes after baking for easier serving.
