Description

Savory Thai basil beef rolls filled with lean ground beef, fresh vegetables, and aromatic herbs, all wrapped in delicate rice paper.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 cup Shredded Carrots
  • 1 cup Chopped Bell Peppers
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 8 Sheets Rice Paper Wrappers

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the lean ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  3. Stir in soy sauce and hoisin sauce, combining well.
  4. Add shredded carrots, chopped bell peppers, and fresh basil leaves, mixing everything together until heated through.
  5. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  6. Fill a shallow dish with warm water. Dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for about 10-15 seconds, or until soft.
  7. Remove the wrapper and place it on a clean surface.
  8. Spoon some of the beef mixture onto the lower third of the wrapper.
  9. Fold in the sides and roll it up tightly, starting from the bottom.
  10. Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  11. Serve the rolls fresh with a dipping sauce of your choice.

Notes

For added variety, try substituting different proteins or herbs, and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.
