- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large egg yolks

Instructions
- Bake the tart crust according to package directions and let it cool.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it’s just about to boil.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, egg yolks, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the custard into the cooled tart crust and smooth it out.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Top with fresh strawberries just before serving, and add whipped cream if desired.
