- 1 tsp (5 ml) dried chives
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) red pepper flakes
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds optional
Instructions
- To create the cowboy butter, melt 1 stick of butter in a pan and add the minced garlic, lemon juice, zest, Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, cayenne, paprika, dried chives, dried thyme, and chopped parsley. Combine these ingredients and heat them on medium for about 5 minutes until the garlic becomes translucent.
- Pour half of this cowboy butter into the base of a 9×13 baking dish, ensuring it covers the entire bottom.
- Evenly press the ground beef into the dish over the cowboy butter.
- Sprinkle the Lawry’s seasoning onto the beef and bake it in the oven at 350°F for 20 minutes.
- Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half and lightly grease a separate baking dish. Arrange the bottom halves of the rolls in the dish and layer the slices of American cheese on top.
- Once the beef patty is cooked, remove it from the dish, allowing any extra oil to drain, and place it on the cheese. Add chopped onions and dill pickle chips on top of the beef patty.
- Spread the remaining cowboy butter over the top halves of the rolls and place them on the sliders.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter, brush it over the top of the rolls, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 350°F for another 20 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
Notes
- Consider using 80/20 ground beef for a more succulent patty.
- Add your favorite herbs or spices to personalize the cowboy butter.
- Allow the beef patty to rest after cooking for maximum moisture and flavor.
