Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tsp (5 ml) ground turmeric
- 1 1/2 tsp (8 ml) ground coriander
- 1 tsp (5 ml) garam masala
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp (5 ml) salt
- 3 tsp (15 ml) paprika
- 1 tsp (5 ml) minced garlic
- 1 tsp (5 ml) minced ginger
- 250 g (8.8 oz) Greek yogurt
- Juice of 1 medium-sized lemon
- 1 tsp (5 ml) dried fenugreek leaves
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- 750 g (1.7 lbs) diced beef
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients, except for the beef, in a large bowl until you achieve a uniform mixture.
- Add the chunks of beef to the bowl and ensure they are completely covered with the mixture. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for no less than 2 hours, though leaving it overnight is preferable.
- Place the marinated beef onto skewers and set them aside.
- Preheat a grill pan or barbecue to medium-high heat. Cook the skewers for 15 minutes, turning them frequently. Once they’re done, let them rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Marinate the venison overnight in the spice mixture for a more intense flavor infusion.
- Opt for Greek yogurt in the marinade for a creamy and tenderizing effect on the venison.
- Include dried fenugreek leaves for a distinctive and aromatic touch to the dish.
