  • 11/2 to 2 cup (480 ml) s powdered sugar
  • Milk
  • Splash of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, sour cream, milk, flour, baking powder, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and lump-free.
  2. Pour the smooth mixture into a microwave-safe cake pan that has been greased. Heat in the microwave for 5 to 8 minutes, starting with 5 minutes and extending the time if necessary until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow the cake to cool down fully before applying the frosting.
  4. Using an electric mixer, whip together the room temperature butter, 1-1/2 cups of powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of milk, and a splash of vanilla until the mixture is creamy.
  5. Adjust the frosting by adding additional powdered sugar and milk to achieve your preferred flavor and texture.
