Description

A flavorful dish combining juicy chicken, crispy bacon, and a savory Parmesan crust, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 small boneless (skinless) chicken breasts (about 150170 g each / 56 oz)
  • 8 slices of bacon (thin or regular cut)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • ½ teaspoon of onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon of dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ cup of finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Lightly grease a baking dish or line a sheet pan with parchment.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Add garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, Italian seasoning, pepper, and salt.
  5. Toss well to coat each chicken breast evenly.
  6. Press the grated Parmesan onto all sides of each chicken breast.
  7. Wrap each chicken breast with 2 slices of bacon, slightly overlapping and tucking the ends underneath.
  8. Place the wrapped chicken seam-side down in the baking dish.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  10. Optionally, switch the oven to broil (grill) for 2–3 minutes to crisp up the bacon.
  11. Let the chicken rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
  12. Sprinkle with parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

For a crisper bacon finish, broil briefly at the end of cooking. Allowing the chicken to rest helps juice redistribution.
