  • 1 cup Milk (whole milk is best for creaminess)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onions become translucent.
  3. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture, roughly 5-7 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to combine, cooking for another 2 minutes to remove the floury taste.
  5. Gradually pour in the broth while stirring, ensuring there are no lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Stir in the milk and heat through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes
