Description
Delicious and fresh fish tacos bursting with flavor, perfect for summer days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb fish (cod, tilapia, or salmon)
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Tbsp olive oil (for cooking fish)
- 2 cups shredded cabbage mix (coleslaw)
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 whole jalapeño pepper, sliced
- 2 tsp honey
- 2 tsp olive oil (for dressing)
- Juiced from 1 whole lime
- About 8 corn tortillas
- Avocados and tomatoes for topping
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture evenly over the fish fillets.
- Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet. Once hot, place the fish in the pan and cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- While the fish cooks, prepare the dressing by whisking together the honey, 2 teaspoons of olive oil, lime juice, and a pinch of salt.
- Heat the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over low heat until warm and pliable.
- Once the fish is ready, place it in a tortilla and top with cabbage, cilantro, sliced jalapeño, and a drizzle of the honey-lime dressing.
- Finish with slices of avocado and tomato to complete your tacos.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For added crunch, toss the cabbage with your dressing before assembling the tacos. Marinate your fish for extra flavor.
