- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, 1/4 cup ketchup, egg, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and 1/4 cup ketchup to create the glaze. Spread half of the glaze over the meatloaf.
- Bake for 1 hour, then brush the remaining glaze on top and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Chill the mixture for 30 minutes before shaping for better consistency. Consider adding finely diced vegetables for added flavor.
