- 12 oz (340 g) spiral pasta (e.g., cavatappi or rotini)
- 14 oz (400 g) smoked sausage, sliced (e.g., Andouille or kielbasa)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced smoked sausage and sauté until browned.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream, followed by the Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the skillet, coating it well with the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Adjust Cajun seasoning to your preferred spice level. Save a little pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
