  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 box Cheddar Bay biscuit mix
  • ¾ cup cold milk (for biscuit mix)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add onion and garlic, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until they soften.
  4. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, black pepper, and paprika until smooth and well incorporated.
  5. Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly across the bottom.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef layer.
  7. Prepare the Cheddar Bay biscuit mix with ¾ cup cold milk according to package directions.
  8. Spoon the biscuit dough evenly over the casserole, ensuring it covers the beef and cheese.
  9. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes, or until the biscuit topping is golden and cooked through.
  10. Mix the melted butter with garlic powder and brush it over the hot biscuit topping.
