Description

A delightful blend of strawberries and cranberries, perfect for holiday canning and sharing.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 2 cups cranberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine strawberries, cranberries, sugar, water, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  5. Pour the jam into sterilized jars and seal tightly.
  6. Let jars cool completely before refrigerating or canning.

Notes

For a bolder flavor, use fresh cranberries or add orange zest and ginger.
