Ingredients

- 1 loaf of bread (preferably day-old)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- Extra cinnamon and sugar for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- Tear the bread into small pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and gently fold until the bread is well coated.
- Divide the mixture into the muffin tin.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and extra cinnamon and sugar, then drizzle this over each muffin.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your muffins!
Notes
For added flavor, consider mixing in chopped apples or nuts. Adjust sugar based on your sweetness preference.
