- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) granulated garlic
- 1 pound (454 g) boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1 to 1 1/2 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s olive oil
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) grated garlic (from about 6 garlic cloves)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) apple juice
- 4 tablespoon (60 ml) s (2 ounce (57 g) s) unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/2 tablespoon (8 ml) lemon juice fresh (from 1 lemon)
- Chopped parsley
Instructions
- Collect all necessary items.
- In a medium-sized bowl, blend together the flour, kosher salt, Italian herbs, and granulated garlic until well mixed; add the chicken pieces and stir until they are thoroughly coated.
- In a large non-stick pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it begins to shimmer. Arrange the chicken pieces in a single layer and let them cook without moving until the underside is golden brown, approximately 4 minutes. Turn the chicken over and continue cooking until the other side is browned and the chicken is fully cooked, around another 4 minutes. Move the chicken to a clean plate and wipe the pan clean.
- Lower the heat to medium. Introduce the grated garlic to the pan and stir continuously, cooking until it becomes fragrant and lightly browned, about 1 to 2 minutes. Add the apple juice, stirring frequently until most of it has evaporated, roughly 2 minutes.
- Incorporate the cubed butter and fresh lemon juice into the pan, stirring until the butter is completely melted, which should take about 1 minute. Return the chicken to the pan and mix it with the butter sauce until it is evenly covered.
