  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 grams) vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters) lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 grams) Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 grams) chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) paprika
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams) cayenne pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, chopped parsley, paprika, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade, stirring to coat evenly.
  4. Let the shrimp marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, ensuring they are evenly spaced.
  6. Place the shrimp skewers on the preheated grill.
  7. Grill the skewers for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  8. Remove the skewers from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter.
  9. Serve the shrimp skewers with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Consider enhancing the flavor by sprinkling on some extra smoked paprika before grilling.
  • To prevent the shrimp from sticking to the grill, remember to oil the grates before placing the skewers.
  • Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your liking for the desired level of spiciness.
