Instructions
- Prepare the orzo according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season and cook the chicken with onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in olive oil until it reaches 165°F. Dice the chicken once cooked.
- Melt the butter with olive oil in a skillet. Sauté onion, carrots, and celery for about 4-5 minutes until softened.
- Sprinkle flour over the sautéed vegetables to create a roux. Cook for 2-3 minutes while stirring frequently.
- Whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream until smooth and thickened. Stir in chicken bouillon powder and the diced chicken. Allow it to simmer until it reaches your desired thickness.
- Fold in the cooked orzo and heat through, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.
