Description

A rich and comforting creamy steak pasta dish made with tender steak, garlic, and a silky sauce, perfect for satisfying cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 1 pound sirloin or ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Additional grated parmesan cheese, optional

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta in a large pot of salted water according to the package instructions.
  2. Drain the pasta and reserve about 1/2 cup of the cooking water.
  3. Season the steak slices with salt and black pepper.
  4. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the steak pieces until browned, about 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  5. Lower the heat to medium, add butter to the skillet, and once melted, sauté the minced garlic for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Deglaze the skillet with beef broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
  7. Add heavy cream and grated parmesan cheese, stirring to thicken the sauce, about 3–4 minutes.
  8. If using, stir in crushed red pepper flakes.
  9. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, using reserved pasta water if necessary to adjust consistency.
  10. Return the steak to the skillet and mix gently with the pasta and sauce.
  11. Serve garnished with fresh parsley and extra parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Slice the steak thinly against the grain for tenderness. Fresh herbs like basil or thyme can enhance flavor.
