  • 1 pound Cod fillets, cut into strips
  • 8 small Corn tortillas, warmed
  • ½ cup All-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Cornmeal
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • ½ cup Buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 cup Cabbage, shredded
  • 1 Lime, juiced
  • ½ cup Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 Avocado, sliced
  • Sour cream or yogurt, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the cod by cutting it into strips.
  3. In one bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, beat the egg and mix it with buttermilk.
  4. Dip each cod strip first into the buttermilk mixture and then into the flour mixture, ensuring it is well coated.
  5. Place the coated cod on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare the toppings by shredding cabbage, slicing avocado, and chopping fresh cilantro.
