Description

Delicious crispy grilled fish tacos with a vibrant cabbage slaw, perfect for a summer gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb white fish, such as cod or tilapia
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Soft corn or flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt (optional)
  • Hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. Mix together olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Coat the fish with the spice mixture and place it on the grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Combine shredded cabbage, cilantro, and lime juice in a separate bowl.
  5. warm the tortillas on the grill for 30 seconds on each side.
  6. Assemble the tacos by placing grilled fish, cabbage slaw, and sour cream or Greek yogurt if desired on each tortilla.
  7. Add hot sauce for extra flavor if desired.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Consider using a grill basket to prevent the fish from sticking, and prep toppings ahead of time for a smooth assembly process.
