- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 g) black pepper
- 1 pound (450 g) beef, ground
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice each jalapeño pepper in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes.
- In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, maple syrup, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix until smooth and well-blended.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the ground venison to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Stir the cooked venison into the cream cheese mixture.
- Add shredded mozzarella cheese to the mixture and stir until evenly combined.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the venison and cream cheese mixture.
- Place the filled jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and honey until smooth.
- Drizzle the brown sugar and honey mixture over the stuffed jalapeños.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
