  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 g) black pepper
  • 1 pound (450 g) beef, ground
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice each jalapeño pepper in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes.
  3. In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, maple syrup, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Mix until smooth and well-blended.
  5. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  6. Add the ground venison to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through.
  7. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  8. Stir the cooked venison into the cream cheese mixture.
  9. Add shredded mozzarella cheese to the mixture and stir until evenly combined.
  10. Fill each jalapeño half with the venison and cream cheese mixture.
  11. Place the filled jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  12. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and honey until smooth.
  13. Drizzle the brown sugar and honey mixture over the stuffed jalapeños.
  14. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the tops are golden brown.
  15. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
