  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 ready-made pie crust
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (for streusel)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup softened butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  3. Roll out your pie crust and place it in the pie dish.
  4. Fill the crust with the apple mixture.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, butter, and salt to create the streusel topping.
  6. Sprinkle the streusel mixture over the apples.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for another 25–30 minutes until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.
  8. Allow the pie to cool before serving.
