- 6 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 ready-made pie crust
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (for streusel)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup softened butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- Roll out your pie crust and place it in the pie dish.
- Fill the crust with the apple mixture.
- In a separate bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, butter, and salt to create the streusel topping.
- Sprinkle the streusel mixture over the apples.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for another 25–30 minutes until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.
- Allow the pie to cool before serving.
