Description

Deliciously simple cookies made with just three ingredients: salted butter, brown sugar, and all-purpose flour.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup salted butter (softened to room temperature, 1 stick)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the softened salted butter and brown sugar together with a large spoon until creamy and soft.
  3. Add the flour and mix again until there are no dry pockets of flour.
  4. Press the cookie dough into balls about 2 inches in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced at least 2 inches apart.
  5. Gently press the tops of the cookies down with your hand to flatten them slightly.
  6. Bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden around the edges.
  7. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before enjoying.

Notes

Consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking to enhance texture and flavor.
